Mutlutour Mersin Tarsus Hatay Tour On the 2nd Day, after having breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we board our bus and begin our journey to Tarsus. In Tarsus, we first visit the Cave of the Seven Sleepers, which holds great significance in Islam and Christianity. This cave is believed to be where seven individuals, accompanied by their dog, sought refuge from the oppression of idolaters and slept for three centuries, as mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al-Kahf. After visiting the cave, we proceed to Tarsus Waterfall, which is known for its natural beauty. The waterfall is formed by the high flow of the Berdan (Kydnos) river, and we enjoy the therapeutic sound of the waterfall before moving back to our vehicle. In Tarsus, one of the important cities surrounded by strong walls during the Roman period, we see the Cleopatra Gate, which has remained intact among the city gates, and we receive information about it. Next, we visit the tomb and mosque of Prophet Daniel, who saved the Jews from Babylonian captivity. We then explore the Kırk Kaşık bazaar, known in the past as the White Bazaar, which was built during the Ramazanoğlu period. We will have free time for shopping in the bazaar. Later, we visit the well of St. Paul, one of the most important saints in Christianity, who was born in Tarsus. After getting information from our guide about the house declared a pilgrimage site for Christianity and the sections that have survived to this day, we take a walk through the old streets and houses of Tarsus. After sampling and shopping for local products, we head to the famous tantuni restaurant for lunch. After the meal, we set off for the Nusrat Mine Ship, which changed the fate of the Gallipoli naval battles. The Nusrat ship earned the title of "the world's most famous mine ship" for changing the course of the war on March 18, 1915. It was sold to a private company in 1962 and sank off the coast of Mersin in 1990. After being recovered in 1999, it was brought to Tarsus in three pieces and was opened to visitors in 2003. After visiting the Nusrat Mine Ship Museum, we board our bus and head to our hotel in İskenderun. Breakfast: At the hotel. Included in the tour price. Lunch: Will be taken in Tarsus. Mutlutour's Mersin Tarsus Hatay Tour on the 3rd day begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by boarding our bus to start our journey towards Antakya, viewing the Amik Plain through the Belen Pass. After learning about the Amik Plain, known as the site of the "Final Battle" referenced in the "Book of Revelation" as Armageddon, we pass through the Samandağ district of Hatay and reach the Titus Tunnel along the Mediterranean coast. The construction of this tunnel, which was designed to divert water during sudden floods, began during the reign of Roman Emperor Vespasian and was completed during the era of his son, Titus. We listen to the story of this fascinating tunnel, made entirely by human hands, and travel back 2000 years. Near the Titus Tunnel, we explore the necropolis area known as Beşikli Mağara, where 12 graves carved into limestone have been found. Next, we head to Daphne, known as the waterfalls region of Hatay. The waters emerging from the valley form waterfalls that lead to the Asi River. The Harbiye Waterfalls have been an important recreational area since ancient times. It is considered the location of the Daphne legend from Greek mythology and is also where world-famous mosaics were discovered. After spending some free time here, we enjoy lunch to taste the famous Hatay cuisine. After lunch, we visit the old and newly redeveloped Hatay and stop by St. Pierre Church, the first cave church in history. After receiving information about the structure where the term "Christian" originated, we view the carving of Charon, the Ferryman of Hades from Greek mythology, and bid farewell to Antakya. We take a break in Adana, renowned for its cuisine, for dinner. After the unforgettable meal, we begin our journey back to Istanbul. We conclude the Mersin Tarsus Hatay Tour with Mutlutour and say goodbye to our esteemed guests by dropping them off at their pick-up points, hoping to meet again in another Mutlutour organization.
